Application of elements of the scientific method as a tool for pedagogical support of children during the adaptation period to preschool education settings

Abstract

The period of a child’s adaptation to a preschool education setting is one of the most challenging stages in their development, as it involves changes in the social environment, daily routine, and the nature of interactions with arise, which can affect both the child’s overall health and their further development. Under such conditions, pedagogical support becomes especially important. It is defined as a process of jointly identifying a child’s interests, goals, capabilities, and ways of overcoming difficulties [3, p. 107]. Applying this approach helps mitigate adaptation challenges and ensures psychological safety, which is a necessary prerequisite for successful adaptation.
